Continental provides paperless boarding

Continental Airlines is to roll out its mobile boarding pass service to its Heathrow Terminal 4 operation, allowing passengers to board for non-stop US flights without needing paper tickets for the first time. Instead, customers will receive boarding passes electronically on mobile phones or PDAs. The airline will also make the latest flight information and special news available, as well as updating standby lists and status. The move reflects Continental’s pioneering move in 2007, when it became the first carrier to offer paperless boarding in the US. It now operates the service at 42 airports.
