Increasing costs of hold baggage on Ryanair

Ryanair is to increase the cost of checking-in baggage on their flights in July and August to £20, when arranged online, or £40 when arranged at the airport. The fee will remain at £15 and £35 respectively when travelling outside those peak summer months. This increase, intended as an incentive to travel light, will be sure to hit families hardest. A single bag weighing no more than 10kg is free to take on the plane as hand luggage.

Plans continue to be developed to remove two toilets from Ryanair planes and charge for use of the single remaining toilet, allowing for the introduction of six extra seats and a further revenue stream to the Irish airline.
