The Savoy sets reopening date

The Savoy, possibly London’s most iconic hotel, is due to reopen on 10 October 2010, Fairmont Hotels has announced. Reservations will be able to be made from 10 August.

Guests staying at the luxury hotel in the heart of London will notice a number of improvements since its closure in December 2007, including the remodelling of the River Restaurant and new, sumptuous, Royal Suite. In short, the restoration has had an effect on the whole building, from the dramatic entrance to all 268 guestrooms – including 38 River Suites that enjoy spectacular views of the River Thames.
